Sewing Frenzy...

Recently I received a request from an Etsy contact to make bags for her 'brick 'n' mortar' shop in Bay City, Michigan. How exciting! I was very inspired last night, and went into a sewing frenzy... as you can see, I had a lot of fun! I even got to use one of Amy Butler's newest fabrics! I knew I'd be addicted to this new hobby!

Salsa with the Sisters!

I had a great time today making salsa with my sisters & mom! It is always hectic with 13 babies around all 4 and under, but fun none the less! I wish I had had my camera along... these are the days you look back on with fond memories!
The older kids were playing bumper cars on the driveway... no, not with matchbox cars... these were the big ones they actually drive. There were four vehicles; two Jeeps, an ATV, and of course a hot pink, Barbie Corvette. It was just a stitch watching them tour around!
Grandma did a great job of corraling them, and keeping them busy. Of course, the salsa turned out great too, with all the moms busy working in the kitchen. We only had a few 'burns' from the jalepeno's, but for the most part things went really well!
How many jars did we get girls? I am not sure, but it was a LOT!
Hope you all have a great holiday w/end! Enjoy the great Michigan weather!

Potty Training... 11 panties in one day!

Hello Friends!

So I am trying to potty-train my girls this week... the key word there is 'trying!' I am not sure the best way to go about it, after all, it is the first time for all of us... but I am working on it! Today is day 2. Yesterday we went through ELEVEN panties! ahhh!! Thus far today, we are at 2, but it has only been two hours of training... naps don't count, right? Brooke has been doing great, with #1 & #2, but Brit has been stubborn, she has to sit for about 20 min before the action... I think this comes from the Bleyenberg side!
Does anyone have any tips or tricks? I think this is going to be a long week, I'm exhausted already!

As for the shop... I was inspired by Nicki and decided to finally make that placemat purse she was telling me about...

I think it turned out okay... What do you think?
